World Environment Day 2025

On 5th June 2025, Care Luit in collaboration with Uttar Chariali Sanmilita Mancha organised a vibrant and impactful event to celebrate World Environment Day at the Biswanath Bypass along NH-15, Assam. The program featured a plantation drive, awareness sessions, cultural performances, and recognition of community contributions toward environmental conservation.

The venue was beautifully decorated with an eco-friendly theme and was attended by a large gathering of students, community members, and officials. The day highlighted the importance of ecosystem restoration and collective efforts in preserving the environment.

Highlights of the event:

• Cultural Performance: Women from the local community dressed in traditional Assamese attire presented a soulful performance to spread awareness through music and dance.

• Plantation Drive: Saplings were planted along the bypass, promoting greenery and public participation in environmental care.

• Cycle Rally by students to propagate the message of a clean and green environment.

• Public Gathering: The event saw enthusiastic participation from all sections of society, including students, officials, and locals.
