Unified Sports

Care Luit launched a Unified Sports initiative to be implemented in Assam, India, that engages children with special needs (CWSN) alongside typically developing peers in an inclusive sports environment.

The aim of the project is to promote social inclusion, physical health, self-confidence, and teamwork among CWSN youth through structured sport activities. By integrating sports with disability advocacy and community engagement, the project aims to bridge communication gaps, reduce stigma, and build leadership and resilience among young participants.

This program aligns with national commitments under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act 2016, National Education Policy 2020, and India’s international obligations under the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
