As part of Care Luit’s support on COVID-19 management along with National Health Mission Assam and Directorate of Health Services Assam, on Oct. 3, 2020, a program along with Assam Sports Journalists Association was organised at Veterinary Auditorium Chenikuthi to distribute pulse oximeters, face mask and hand sanitizers to sports journalists.
The package was presented by Mrs Bharati Das settlor of Care Luit to Dr Rajib Sarma Additional Director, Directorate of Health Services Assam who handed it over to the Assam Sports Journalist Association.
Mr Ashok Barman, Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry spoke on different initiatives started by veterinary department for easing out unemployment generated due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Dr Rakesh Periwal (MD, Medicine), Head of Critical Care Unit Apollo Hospital Guwahati spoke on COVID19 and use of oximeters as an early screening method for detection in potential patients.
