Decentralised Renewable Energy (DRE)

Care Luit and IORA Ecological Solutions implemented the project: “Supporting Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for deployment of Decentralised Renewable Energy Systems in Assam and Meghalaya” with financial assistance from Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation.

The primary objective of this project is to provide reliable access to electricity through the deployment of off-grid renewable energy based mini or micro electricity generation installations in the identified regions of the states using Public-Private partnership models.  Towards this goal, 10 sites in Assam and Meghalaya were identified for ‘Technology Showcase’ of DRE solutions. Based on detailed techno-feasibility studies, these pilots were implemented to demonstrate the utility of DRE technologies beyond the two states and covering the entire Northeast region.
